Job Description

1. Provide legal and commercial support to the business in its organic and inorganic activites/development.
2. Support the legal team in advisng sales and business development teams on structuring of transactions.
3. Structure, draft, review and negotiate contracts and agreements.
4. Proactively ensure corporate compliance with legal and regulatory criteria.
5. Liaise with the other groups within the business reglatory, tax and corporate governance group for transactional work.
6. Liaise with external lawyers used for speciaist legal support in India and other relevant jurisdictions.
7. Develop standard form contracts and precedents for use by business and colleagues.

Desired Candidate Profile

1. A qualified lawyer with a professional degree.
2. A minimum of one year proven experience in Indian IT/Telecom/Banking and Corporate Law Firms.
3. Corporate commercial experience.
4. Exposure to international contracts is desirable.
5. Good commercial and technical legal skills with mature judgement and business focus.
6. Ability to work as a close knit team and share information easily and proactively.
7. Ability to deliver results within tight dealines in a complex environment.
8. A working knowledge of Indian and regional regulation.
