PROJECT SUMMARY :

The individual filling this position is to participate in efforts for the analysis, design, development and maintenance of production software systems for the infrastructure supporting financial systems. These products include a set of software programs and platforms based on UNIX, Linux and Solaris Technology with more emphasis on network development as well as Web technology. The products include suite of middleware systems to facilitate the communication between the components of financial systems.

ESSENTIAL DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide technical leadership in developing, supporting and enhancing the current implementation.
Responsible to ensure timely and quality deliveries. Constant focus on opportunities for automation, enhancements and meeting customer needs. Producing documentation, supporting real-time reporting and working with US teams.
Independently pursue these goals and provide immediate attention in trouble shooting issues that arise with data, configuration, builds, etc.
Understand and maintain the existing code.
Develop the software as per Customer Requirements.
Development Unit and integrated testing.
Understanding of the Release process

Qualifications

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Required Skills :
Software development - 5+ years
Unix/Linux/Solaris/SCO OS - 3+ years
Internet applications - 2 years
C/C++ – 4+ years
Multithreading – 2 years
TCP/IP, HTTP – 2 years
Scripting Perl/Shell – 1 year


DESIRED Skills (NICE TO HAVE IN ADDITION TO THE REQUIRED SKILL SETS), NECESSARY INDUSTRY Experience & associated number of years OF EXPERIENCE:

Knowledge on network components such as routers and switches.
Knowledge of Unix Internals and Internal Process Communication technology

Education:
4 year technical degree
5+ years relevant technical experience
1 year technical operations experience in customer support or production engineering role is desired
