Job Description


Essential:

- Core Java.
- Oracle SQL, MS SQL 2000 & 2005.
- Any scripting language in UNIX environment.
- UNIX at the user level

Desirable:

- Perl and UNIX shell programming.
- UNIX internals.
- EMS, C#, ASP, web service experience and Excel.

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

a) Design, develop, maintain and support Global Prop Risk application: Global Position Repository and RMM data feed, Management reports.
C) Support and maintain existing software operating in distributed Solaris, Linux, and Windows environments. Primary platform is Java, Unix and Oracle.
D) Monitor the risk feed daily, investigate and troubleshoot breaks.
E) Work with the CS position server teams, PC, RMM,SMD, Product Master and Imagine Software to reconcile positions and risk data discrepancies.
F) Respond to ad-hoc FO user requests for information as well as generate on-demand reports.

Desired Candidate Profile


Essential:

- Should be a BE/B.Tech graduate.
- Should have 3+ years of experience working as a core Java and SQL developer in UNIX environment.
- Experience working on financial applications.
- Some knowledge of risk management.
- Strong problem-solving ability.
- A âget the job doneâ attitude.
- Independent and proactive.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Team worker

Desirable:

- Experience with large scale distributed systems on Java/Perl/Oracle platform in UNIX environment.
- Experience with Risk management.
- Good working knowledge of financial products, especially derivative products Good working knowledge of risk management of derivative products.
- Imagine Trading System.
